Each year, more and more people head out to the East End
to trade the hustle and bustle of city life for some peace
and serentiy. The one road into town is jam-packed during
the summer, full of weekenders. But even today, you can still
find arrowheads in the fields at Deep Hollow after a rainstorm.
Left behind by the Montaukett Indians, they serve as a reminder
of another time, when the land was open, cattle grazed freely,
and ranching was a way of life. With the help of the Leavers,
that way of life will go on in Montauk.
